Supplement based diets incorporate the use of diet supplements the are commonly used to enhance weight loss and suppress appetite. Supplement based diets typically require a thorough screening process for anyone interested in going on the diet since some of the supplement, although commonly herbal, may have adverse side effects and be potentially harmful to some people.
Supplement Based Diets include a short list of weight loss programs that include diet supplements as well as a healthy diet and regular exercise. Using diet supplements on their own, without being used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise, will have little, to no weight loss effect.
For the most part, the supplements used in supplement based diets help to suppress appetite and increase fat-burning. Although this type of diet program may be an effective way for some people to lose weight quickly, supplement based diets are not appropriate for long-term use.
