It may be due to the fact that your body has the strain of the extra weight and puts you at greater risk of insulin resistance overall. Losing the weight may be your best way of preventing or controlling the problem: Many health experts will say that the only way to minimize your type 2 diabetes risk is to lose the weight. You put much less strain on the body, you allow your organs to function properly, and all of the processes in your body happen as they should.
