Turboslim Chronoactiv is a nonprescription weight loss product that involves taking two different types of tablets in order to help to lose excess fat both day and night. It claims that it assists dieters to be able to shed the extra pounds without interrupting the natural body biorhythms.
This system is somewhat unique in that it has a daytime and a nighttime pill, instead of relying on a single type of tablet no matter the hour. The claim is that it will help with weight loss in as little as 15 days.
While these claims do sound promising, further investigation into the product and its formulation is required before any recommendation for use could be made. As this product is actually made up of two separate tablets, this means that both formulas will need to be examined.
According to the official website of the manufacturer, Forté Pharma Laboratoires, the Turboslim Chronoactiv daytime formula is made up of green tea, zinc, and chromium. The nighttime formula is made up of phaseolus, olive tree, rosemary, Ipomea batatas, and CoQ10. The official website is designed to look as though the product is quite official, from a medical or pharmaceutical lab, but the typos and choice of words suggests otherwise.
For instance, the website refers to “scientifical” research, on two separate occasions, a word that is considered to be archaic, at best, and that is not used within the modern medical or pharmaceutical industries. It also claims that zinc helps to metabolize “fatty acis” which can only be assumed to be “fatty acids”. While these are typically forgivable errors from a marketing standpoint, when it comes to medical and weight loss claims, it is a reflection of sloppiness and potential carelessness that should be taken seriously by consumers.
Regardless of the wording, the only research that is mentioned is not published within any reputable peer reviewed journals – in fact, there is no mention of any publication – but is rather a survey of 80 people who self-assessed over a period of 8 weeks without any indication of how the product was used or what methods were employed while the pills were being taken. It is unclear whether or not these dieters were on a calorie reduced diet and were exercising while taking the product, or whether they were simply popping pills. At the same time, this was considered enough evidence for the manufacturer to claim “proven efficacy” for Turboslim Chronoactiv.
Based on this information, it would be very difficult to recommend this product.
