Hydra Shred Black from Sparta Nutrition is marketed as a “premium ultra strength lipolytic fat burner.” Some of the claims associated with this dietary supplement are that it can deliver a boost of potent energy, can accelerate weight loss, provide blood sugar support, and function as a strong appetite suppressant.
If this over-the-counter (OTC) dietary supplement for weight management can actually achieve these benefits, it could help support a person’s conventional weight loss efforts, such as following a calorie-reduced diet and fitness appropriate exercise.
That being said, achieving such benefits does depend on the ingredients. In terms of Hydra Shred Black, the formula was composed of the following ingredients when this review was written: Acetyl-L Carnitine, Caffeine Anhydrous, Phenylethylamine HCl, Vanillin, TeaCrine, Banaba Leaf Extract, Grains of Paradise Theobromine, Dicaffeine Malate, Cirsium Oligophyllum, Cocoa Seed Extract, Higenamine HCl.
Many of these ingredients are thought to be energy boosters. In fact, several of them are stimulants, including caffeine, phenylethylamine HCl, TeaCrine, Dicaffeine Malate and Higenamine HCl.
While stimulants, such as caffeine, can provide a boost of energy, increase mental focus, and even cause appetite suppression in some people, according to some clinical research, too many stimulants can actually do more harm than good.
Unfortunately, this is likely the case with Hydra Shred Black. With the number of stimulants it contains that work on the central nervous system, there is indeed a risk that this could lead to adverse effects, especially in individuals who are sensitive to caffeine or who ingest caffeinated products while taking this diet pill. These adverse effects may include: jitters, insomnia, heart palpitations, rapid heartbeat, restlessness, anxiety, headache, high blood pressure, etc.
The suggested use is to take 1-3 capsules with breakfast and to take 1-3 capsules 6 hours later. Users are cautioned not to take Hydra Shred for more than 8 weeks without first taking a 2 week break for maximum results. The maximum daily dose (6 capsules) should not be exceeded.
Each 3 capsule dose contains 200 mg of caffeine anhydrous, slightly more than two cups of coffee, and this doesn’t include the other amounts of stimulants you’re getting in addition to caffeine per serving. To reduce your risk of sleep trouble, you should avoid taking your second dose of Hydra Shred Black in the evening or before bedtime.
Due to the number of stimulants in this product, it would probably best to avoid it and choose an alternative OTC weight management aid that is less likely to result in unwanted side effects.
