Will Odd Health Trends like Goat Soap Continue This Year?

As another year gets started, it’s time to start preparing ourselves for the odd health trends that will be headed our way. What will 2019 have in store? It’s too early to tell for sure, but there have been a number of significant guesses made based on the directions that things are already taking.

Consider These Odd Health Trends Already Taking Off

Goat’s Milk Soap

Goats milk soap has already taken off in several countries, including our friends to the north in Canada. It has become a readily available product sold in the drugstore in many forms by several brands. It usually consists of goat’s milk coconut oil, olive oil and other additives such as fragrance or scented essential oils. It offers a very gentle and moisturizing way to clean your skin. It’s also nourishing with many vitamins and minerals. It can help to relieve inflammation and irritation, prevent acne and prevent premature aging. It has started catching on in the U.S. and is expected to become mainstream this year.

Bakuchiol

Pronounced buh-koo-chee-all, Bakuchiol is known as a natural and gentler alternative to using retinol. Among odd health trends, this one promises the same benefits as retinol but is completely plant-based and is not associated with many of the side effects associated with using retinol.

Sleep Optimization

Sleep has joined odd health trends in that it has been a long time since we’ve made a regular serious priority of trying to obtain it. All too often, we sacrifice sleep to everything else in our lives. When it comes to sleep or getting something else done, sleep always loses. That said, we have entered into the point where our lack of sleep has caused a health emergency. Sleep optimization strategies, tracking and tools will become exceptionally important this year.

Indoor Workouts

Indoor workouts meant for small spaces have exploded in popularity. These odd health trends include band workouts, yoga, and other types of exercises that need about as much space as you’d have in a hotel room or a cubicle. They’re meant to make the most out of limited space for getting cardio, strength training or improving flexibility.

These workouts are meant to complement outdoor workouts in which you get a good brisk walk, jog or run, go swimming or go cycling. These odd health trends are expected to become commonplace in 2019.
