Even if you are trying to lose weight, strength training is a great option to get lean muscles and to start looking your best. If you have several people in your home, you may want to consider getting adjustable weights. This makes it so that everyone can lift at the weight limit that they would like and you won’t have a mess of weights all over the floor all the time.

If you want to start working out your upper body, the pull-up bar is great at-home gym equipment that you need. Many times you can just attach this to your doorframe and have it ready whenever you would like. Make sure that it is high enough and you won’t have to take it down. Choose an option that is sturdy and won’t fall down as well as one that isn’t going to tear away at your doorframe and cause a mess.
Jump Rope
One of the best workouts that you can do for your whole body is to jump rope. Go back to your elementary school days and get a small jump rope. Spend a few minutes of all workouts doing some jump rope and seeing which tricks you can do and how fast you are able to go overall. Try to increase the speed over time.

There are a lot of great workout videos that you can try as your at-home gym equipment. Most of these videos don’t require you to have any equipment at all which makes it convenient and easy for all involved. You might want to consider picking out a few different kinds of videos. This allows you to have a few options depending on your mood and won’t allow your body to get used to doing one activity. Perhaps choose one that is high intensity and then one that is a lower intensity for those nights you are tired.
