Sliminex is a nonprescription diet supplement that is not widely sold on third party sites, but that is available on its own manufacturer’s website. While it does not have an official website of its own, it does have a page on its manufacturer’s site that provides a certain amount of information about what it is, what it claims to do, how to use it, and so on.
While linked to a statement that makes it clear that none of the claims have been reviewed or confirmed by the FDA, the Sliminex webpage says that it was formulated to provide the body with the “boost it needs for peak performance.” It says that this becomes possible through higher energy levels, raised lean muscle and body mass, better cardiovascular health maintenance, and body fat reduction.
In essence, this says that it is a fat burner and metabolism booster, which is a massive category in the diet pill industry. To decide whether or not it could be possible for this product to provide those benefits, it is a good idea to look at the ingredients list and to make an appointment to discuss the product with your doctor.
At the time that this review was written, the official webpage listed the ingredients in Sliminex as being: chromium, saffron extract, green tea extract, garcinia cambogia extract, L-carnitine, nuoxiang, eleutherococcus senticosus, gymnema sylvestre extract, pyruvate, cinnamon, L-tyrosine, L-phenylalanine, white kidney bean extract, and black pepper extract.
By looking over this long list of ingredients, there are two things that stand out the most. The first is that there is nothing in this list that truly makes this product unique, as all of these substances can be found in many other diet pills on the nonprescription market. The second is that this list is long enough that it decreases odds that there will be enough of any ingredient in this formula to actually provide benefits – assuming that they all actually work.
Among these substances, only green tea extract and white kidney bean extract have received any real level of study in terms of weight loss benefits. When it comes to white kidney bean extract, human studies have not consistently shown significant fat loss. Green tea has been shown to be beneficial when used in large amounts, but it is impossible to know whether or not enough was used in this product, as it is part of a proprietary blend of 813mg and the individual quantities are not identified. Considering the number of substances in the blend, and the studies used 500mg of green tea for successful results, it may be that there is not enough of it used to achieve the same results.
