Rasva Natural Fat Binder is a nonprescription weight loss supplement that is manufactured by a company called KitoZyme SA, and is distributed in the United Kingdom by a company called Famous Rainbow. At the time that this review was written, the website for the entire Rasva brand was “Temporarily Unavailable,” so all of the information that was used for this review was gleaned from the site before it became unavailable, as well as from third party sellers of the product.
The claim of KitoZyme is that Rasva Natural Fat Binder has been clinically proven. It states that in Europe, it has been clinically proven for controlling weight and to decrease dietary fat absorption when it has been used in conjunction with a “fat conscious diet”. It is also supposed to treat excess weight.
The benefits of using this product are supposedly that it will stop the body from being able to absorb a certain amount of the dietary fats and cholesterol contained in the foods that are eaten. This is accomplished through capsules that contain a fiber based gel. In the stomach, this is supposed to bind with the fats from foods in order to create a non-soluble compound. As that compound cannot be digested, it is sent away with the rest of the waste from the body. When the website was active, it explained that the main ingredient in Rasva Natural Fat Binder could bind up to “800 times its own weight with fat”.
That ingredient is the only active substance in the formula. The ingredient is KiOnutrime-Cs. It is a type of natural fiber that is drawn from a fungus known as Aspergillus Niger Mycelium. That substance is frequently used as a vegetarian alternative to a common nonprescription weight loss supplement ingredient called chitosan, which is derived from crustacean shells. While that substance is often called a fat blocker, too, it does not have an adequate body of reputable scientific evidence to consider itself to be a “proven” cause of weight loss.
On average, dieters will take Rasva Natural Fat Binder for only 4 weeks. The directions recommend that 2 to 3 capsules be taken twice each day, 15 minutes before meals. This has a direct impact on the cost of taking the capsules, as each bottle contains 120 capsules. If three are taken twice every day (for a total of 6 per day), then one bottle will last for 20 days. If 2 are taken twice per day (for a total of 4), then one bottle will last for one month. Each bottle costs about $78.
