OxyElite Pro is an over the counter diet pill formulated and made by a company called UPSlabs. The official product website refers to this weight loss capsule as a thermogenic product. Its focus is on both male and female adult dieters. These pills are meant to be taken one at a time.
This pill falls into a rapidly growing category of thermogenics. These products function by increasing the user’s body temperature. As such, the body is required to burn through more fuel in order to create that additional level of heat. That fuel is in the form of calories either from food or from fat already stored on the body.
While some thermogenics can burn so many additional calories that they can produce a difference you can see on the scale, others may boost the metabolism, but not enough to actually create a measureable difference. Therefore, it’s important to look carefully at the ingredients within a formula to help to know which of those two options you may be purchasing.
It’s also important to understand that thermogenics don’t just cause fat to melt off the body on their own. Products based on this concept must be combined with regular exercise – particularly cardio – in order to produce a measurable effect. Otherwise, while they may boost the metabolic rate, it won’t be enough to offset the calories you’re actually eating every day.
The official website does list the ingredients that make up the OxyElite pro formulation. That said, as it is a proprietary formula, this means that only the total measure of all the ingredients is disclosed and not the individual quantities. At the time of the writing of this review, the ingredients in this formula were listed as follows: Bauhinia Purpurea L. (both the leaf and the pod), Bacopa Monniera (the leaf), 1,3-Dimethylamylamine (Geranium, in this case, its stem), Cirsium Oligophyllum (the whole plant extract), and Rauwolscine (the leaf and the root).
When considering these substances, it is clear that it does indeed include certain substances that have been associated with a thermogenic effect. However, without knowing how much of each substance is included, it’s difficult to know whether or not they will be effective. Moreover, it is also challenging to decide whether or not the balance of the substance is such that they will not produce side effects.
The manufacturer itself has provided certain warnings about the use of this diet pill. This includes the fact that it is not safe for use by people 18 years of age or younger, nor should pregnant or nursing women use it. This product should not be used for longer than 8 weeks (2 months) and it may conflict with certain common prescription drugs.
