  • What's a good alternative

I'm really not a "diary-keeping" person, never have been, even in my youth. That said, I can see how it may be beneficial for tracking weight loss habits. What is a good alternative if a diary is something I just know I won't stay committed to?

Have you thought about getting a fitness tracker? These gadgets often come with companion apps that are easy to use and have lots of additional features if you want to track weight, calories, feelings and even right down to tracking your ovulation or period cycle (if you're a woman who wants to do that). I think that might be a good alternative if you don't want to physically journal everything.

Exactly! I swear by my fitbit. It's the only "diary" I need LOL. I didn't think I would really use it when I was given it as a handme down from a friend who loves hers, but it's really be a game changer for me in terms of tracking my calories and just being more active in general. The app it comes with is very easy to use and helpful and has a lot of features to accommodate pretty much all users, no matter how little or how much you want to track. BTW I'm not saying get a fitbit specifically, it's just the one I have. There are lots of great fitness trackers out there. Pick the one that makes the most sense to the activities you enjoy and your budget.

It is the best way to track...does anyone use an actual paper diary anymore? I mean, for tracking?

They're seriously cool and getting better and better as new technology comes to light. Since they are so easy to use when paired with a phone app, they truly do help you to keep track easily, it's simply a matter of you being committed enough to use it. :)
