  • Have small goals

Setting goals and reaching them is really motivational. Goals can be anything from exercise for 10 minutes every day to doing yoga once a week to getting no more than 1800 calories a day to tossing out trash in your home, etc. The more committed you are to your goals, the more you will trust that when you say something you'll do it!

It's true. That said, but I don't see how only 10 minutes of exercise a day will be beneficial...

I agree. 10 minutes just isn't enough. When it comes to health and weight loss sometimes a little just isn't good enough.

There's nothing wrong with doing a little, but when it comes to real weight loss, you usually need to do a whole lot to get there. Plus, 10 minutes of exercise a day is not only kinda useless for weight loss, it doesn't even really cut it when it comes to your health. Yes, doing something is better than nothing, but the fact of the matter is that you owe it to your health to try harder and do more than a little.

I understand what you're trying to get at Lia but I do agree that 10 minutes just isn't enough. If this is all that you can afford to do in a day, then you need to re-prioritize your life. Your health can't take a backseat to the rest of your daily life activities. Remember, getting adequate exercise isn't only about dropping pounds. It's also important for your body as a whole, including your heart, lungs, muscles, joints, brain, etc.

I understand the point you're trying to make lia and I agree. You're not saying that you should only aim to have 10 minutes of exercise a day as a regular workout, you're saying, start somewhere. Committing to 10 minutes to start will help you see that you can do at least that much a day on top of whatever else you might do. From there, you can build on your goals. You're saying start to build a routine and habit by completing small goals on a regular basis instead of setting huge goals you're not likely to commit to. Good advice.
