  • New Year's resolutions

Does anyone have a weight loss new year's resolution yet? I'm only wondering cause the year is nearly over and I've been giving mine a lot of thought. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share. Mine is I'm going to join a gym (I'm actually asking for the first year membership for Christmas) and I'm going to make an effort to go at least once a week.

Actually I do have one related to my diet. I'm going to make a concerted effort to drink more water and reduce the amount of meat I'm eating. I don't think I'm going to be able to go full on vegan or anything, but I wouldn't mind being more of a vegetarian.

Mine's going to the gym, too! I've also asked for a membership for Christmas. I'm actually really excited about it :)

I don't take part in these resolutions anymore. I used to, but now I just find that I don't follow what I plan (because I usually plan something far bigger than I can realistically achieve) and then i just end up getting discouraged and frustrated. Instead, I'm just sticking to the program I've found for myself and if at any point I feel that it needs to be added to, I just do it. I don't wait for any special time of year to make changes. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have a New Year's resolution if that's what you're into, I just don't think they are necessary or that they are helpful for everyone.

I've got one! I'm going to make a concerted effort to drink more water and stick to a proper sleep schedule. I'm going to be strict and find ways to avoid distraction to make sure I stick to my goals instead of just allowing myself to find excuses or reasons not to.

Cool! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who still does this! I hope all of you are successful at sticking to your resolutions. I think having these goals can be a very positive thing.

I think that they can be positive, too. That said, whether or not they are positive in a beneficial way is another story altogether. i think that's why it's so important that we choose goals that we can realistically achieve. A resolution shouldn't just be a dream, but making something actually happen.

I still do new years resolutions and I think they are very positive. I certainly don't follow through with all of them, but i have stuck to a few and I got to say that for those resolutions i did stick to, it was awesome and I felt so good about myself. This year, for weight loss, I'm going to make a concerted effort to track my progress, though both calorie tracking, fitness tracking, sleep tracking and taking monthly B&A photos. I'm really excited about it, especially since I got a new Fitbit for Christmas ;D

Cool! I got a new Fitbit, too! I haven't made any New Year's resolutions, but now I'm really excited to make one. I think I'm going to engage in some fitness tracking, too! I may even jump on board your B&A idea. I'm not a fan of taking pictures, but it might be something I enjoy :D Thanks for sharing this Nelly.
