If you want to be the most eco friendly and shrink your carbon footprint this Christmas, try to get all local foods. A lot of farmers markets still exist, only indoors. Otherwise, just have a look at where the foods you want are grown/made. This could mean switching up your dishes a bit, but you might be impressed with what you come up with. Prioritize your county, state, country. Try to put as few miles between you and the source of your food as possible. I'm doing that and I've not only learned a lot but am also excited about trying new things. I think my family will be impressed with this.

Smart. I like this idea. It's cold where I live, so nothing is growing here, but I can focus on local meats for the moment, and winter veggies like potatoes and carrots that were grown here and are still being sold. But I'll just try to buy as close to home as possible for the rest of the stuff. Good idea! Smart.
