I’ve found that alternating cardio and strength training from Monday through Saturday works great. Then I use Sunday for yoga and my muscles have time to heal and I improve calm and flexibility at the same time!

I find that yoga is good on the day "off" but it's also good if you do it on at least one of the days that you are still doing some other exercise. I just do different workouts. Instead of doing a routine for a half hour, I'll do a fifteen minute one when I get up, to energize me and another fifteen minute wind-down one before I go to bed.
