Has anyone tried a strider machine? Do they work just like a treadmill in terms of results and can I expect to get the same type of quality and high-intense workout? I'm asking because I can't really run anymore because of my knees, but I feel like walking isn't enough. It looks like the strider machine is easier on the joints. Am I just imagining this or is this true?

I think it is easier on the joints, because you're not running, you're moving your legs back and forth, so it's up to you how much pressure you apply and the intensity at which you workout. I like the machine better than a treadmill because it is quieter and honestly it's just more fun. You will definitely get a workout on it, but as I said, the intensity level is up to you.
