I know that diet pills that are designed for nighttime can help to relax you and help you get to sleep, but do they curb hunger, too?

I think if you're having problems waking and being hungry, it's more a matter of addressing what and when you're eating, and working on breaking the overnight eating habit either cold turkey or gradually. Maybe for nighttime, your focus should be getting a quality sleep. That way, if you're sleeping soundly all night, you won't need to focus on your hunger. Like everyone said. Stay hydrated, too. For me, that really helps.
