I am going through a nut phase right now where when I get hungry between meals I grab a handful of nuts (unsalted). Nuts are high in fat and in calories so you must watch your portion control but a little goes a long way because they fill really you up. I find it helps if I get nuts in the shell because I eat fewer since it takes time to crack them. Nuts are very high in dietary fiber, and are one of the best plant sources of protein. My goal is to eat nuts instead of other sources of fat like cakes, cookies, or chips.
