Choosing to undergo weight loss surgery should not be taken lightly. It is a pretty major operation and it requires sticking to strict diet guidelines afterwards. But for people who are at high risk of obesity related diseases, weight loss surgery can very well save their lives.

I would suggest you talk to your doctor about your interest in weight loss surgery and request more information so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not it will be good for you.

My brother is a nurse and he shared about this one patient that did undergo that type of surgery and he said that he would never try any sort of surgery just to lose weight. It aims to decrease the size of your stomach so you will feel satiated even after a small meal. Sure, it seems beneficial but the stomach was made in that size because of so many different reasons. It needs to absorb nutrients and also fight off some bacteria in the digestive system ( as it secretes some acid that can kill some form of bacteria).

He suggested that if you want to lose weight, there are so many diet pills in the market that can help you do just that. You may even buy diet pills online that has the power to dictate the brain to decrease your appetite. So the next time that you want to undergo a surgery, think of less invasive ways first.

Any form of surgery has a certain element of risk. Liposuction even if it is successful is merely a form of body contouring. It does not reduce your risk of heart disease, high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. Furthermore, it is just a temporary solution because liposuction does not change the way you eat, or your lifestyle which has resulted in you being overweight in the first place.

So I would personally discourage anyone from going through any form of fat loss surgery.

Weight loss Surgery can be not so safe. There are side effect's to most all of them which can cause problem's. My mom has been doing weight watchers for 3 years and has lost 126 pounds. so i know it work's. Another thing you might wanna ask is a personal question. Why did these lifestyle changes not work for me.
And whats to say after you get the surgery you wont go back to your original weight?

The risks of weight loss surgery compare favorably with other surgeries. In general, the risks of obesity are much greater than the surgery itself. The key decision that needs to be made is the choice between restrictive and malabsorption procedures or a combination of both these two procedures.

I think this type of surgery has some demerits without any doctor advice you should not take decision. Many people decide to go for gastric Bypass surgery because they can lose a significant amount of weight in one year. Unfortunately, there are a number of permanent risks and consequences.
