    For the healthy life our body need proper nutritions. We can get this nutrition from the healthy food like fruits and vegetables.

      There are so many benefits of good nutrition. As a matter of fact, how we live depends on what we take in every meal time which is why it is imperative that we live a healthy lifestyle otherwise, we will all suffer from illnesses and all kinds of diseases.

      A good nutrition will give you a fit and healthy body
      It will also allow you to take control of your lifestyle
      Will make you look younger
      Gives you strength and good memory
      Keeps you away from diseases which can be a pain in your pocket
      Makes you feel well and alert

      These are just some of the things you can get when you get proper nutrition accompanied by exercise. I hope everyone will try their best to live healthily. It is also our way of helping our government from the increasing health care costs. getting a proper nutrition should not be a right but an obligation.

        I think that it is important to understand that not all nutritious foods are low in calories. In fact, many are higher in calories, but they provide much more of a health benefit than eating less nutritious foods that may be lower in calories.

        Many people think that if they just eat "health foods", such as organic foods, they will lose weight. But it is important to read the food labels of even healthier foods you buy as many times they contain just as many calories as their unhealthy counterparts. You may think you are dieting because you are eating better, but your calorie consumption will still be too high to really lose anything. I hope this makes sense.

          I totally agree with you. The important thing to remember is eat balanced meals with small portions (that is what I have found works best). Each person loses weight different, however, you still need to monitor your intake.

            I'd like to share to you my own personal steps of eating healthily.. read through and hope you learn something!



            Find out how many calories your own body needs in order to properly function day by day. You can find help from other resources like the internet or visit your dietitian about how many calories you must consume.

            You may eat fatty foods but only in small amount, fats are needed by the body too!

            Carbohydrates are very essential in a healthy meal. It gives energy to get you through the day.

            Eat larger during the day and avoid eating too much during dinner.

            Don't ever skip breakfast!It is the most important meal in the day besides, if you starve yourself early morning you will eat more in the evening which is unhealthy.

            Make eating fun for you. You do not have to fear food just because you want to lose weight, make it as a habit to enjoy eating healthily.

            Buy non-fat or reduced fat foods.

            Give up alcohol and cigarette as both can further deteriorate our cells and tissues.

            Eat slowly; it will get you satisfied easily and prevent overeating.

            Reduce sugar in any way. You can substitute a brownie for a healthier mango or strawberry (or any fruit that you love).

            Go on a habit of checking the label of a certain food in the market. That way, you will know how many calories it contains and how much you must consume.

              Very nicely said, Patrick, I agree completely.

              Hay have you tried that new dessert chewing gum? Woo its good and you can enjoy the taste of choc. mint ice cream, strawberry cheese cake or (my favorite) key lime pie. Also, if I do it cake or candy I cut a 1x1 inch piece and suck on it till it melts away. Curbs my desire.

              Since I eat allot of healthy foods I find I don't want sweets very often though. Once in a great while.
