Personally, I think the reason why so many people fail at losing weight is because they don't give whatever dieting plan they choose an honest shot. Now, I'm not saying that every diet or diet pill out there will work or that it's some sort of miracle - I don't believe in miracles. What I do believe is that you'll never know if something really works unless you give it time and you have patience. In so many cases, it takes a few weeks or even a month before you can tell if something is really working for you. If you're ready to quit after a few days or a week because you're not satisfied with results, in my opinion, your weight loss goals are not realistic and you need to rethink them. Weight loss takes time. To expect quick results is to set yourself up for disaster!

This is very true Chefmel. Personally, I wish that diet plans didn't take so long to work. I know I've got to be patient, but its the waiting and not seeing much progress that is absolute killer. That's why I think so many people like detox diets because it flushes the water weight off them quickly and slims them down fast. It doesn't last, of course, and it really only makes things worse in the long run, but I get why so many people like them.

Yeah. I agree with you. I think we all lack the patience and persistence it takes to diet and keep up with our diets. Losing weight certainly isn't easy, but you definitely need to be realistic about it and give it an honest shot. if you aren't committed, just don't do it.
