A good way to help yourself along your weight loss journey is to eat and live in a more eco-conscious way. This doesn't mean that you need to become a vegetarian or vegan, but it does mean that you limit the amount of meat and dairy you do consume, so these foods become more of an occasional treat and less of a daily lifestyle choice. When you need to make alternative food choices, you will be required to pay more attention to what you put in your body. Equally, lowering your own personal carbon footprint can lead to more money in your pocket and more exercise if you choose to walk, take a bike or choose another form of eco-friendly transportation. Living in a more eco way is something I've started doing and it's not hard and it's working for me. I just thought I'd share in case it might help someone else :)

I think this is a good idea and it's super trendy right now to be all environmentally conscious. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if very soon there will be a whole eco-friendly diet program launched...if one hasn't already. That said, it does make sense that if you are more environmentally conscious this could benefit your overall health and weight loss could also be a side effect. It's an interesting concept and one that actually doesn't sound outlandish.

Yeah. The trash problem is serious and it's real. I just found out the other day that more than half of what I recycle ends up in a landfill and the stuff that is recycled can be recycled only once, which means that whatever they turn it into will eventually end up in a landfill. It's no good and most of us are oblivious and others don't even care. It's quite scary when you stop and think about it.
