  • What's a good weight loss diet for a new mom

A friend of mine just had her first baby and she gained more weight than she had intended and is looking for a way to drop the fat without affecting her baby in any negative way (she's breast feeding). Do any other mom's have some suggestions for her.

Also, I know (as does she) that she should consult with her doctor about her diet (and she's going to) but she's just looking for some ideas, so please don't tell me she should consult her doctor, I'm looking for your advice. Thanks :)

Try the Mediterranean diet. That one isn't extreme and she shouldn't have any problem following it or getting the foods that she needs. It's a very practical and common sense diet.

My wife went on a low-calorie diet (I think it was weight watchers) and she took up Yoga (which she really liked). She lost the extra weight she gained pretty quickly.

try the Step Diet. I find that one is pretty decent. It makes sense, it's not extreme and anyone can do it. It essentially encourages you to eat better and exercise more. Everything is entirely achievable.

Try Skinny Bitch. I love that one. I think you'll get a kick out of it and the diet will definitely help you to lose weight.

Thanks. I'll look into this one. I've always found the title really funny. I've also heard some good things about it. :)
