Hi, I'm trying to get pregnant and I'm wondering if taking diet pills will effect my chances of getting pregnant or if they will effect the results of a pregnancy test. Does anyone know?

I have no idea if diet pills can affect your chances of getting pregnant, but I think that depending on the ingredients in the formula, some of them can give you a false negative or a false positive on at-home pregnancy tests. The reason is that if your taking a diet pills that contains diuretics, this can cause you to urinate more, which can mess with the concentration levels of your urine, making it more watery, so it's more difficult for the test to read, so it may not detect the hormone levels that signal a pregnancy to the test, so a false negative results. On the other hand, if you are taking a diet pill that HCG, this could increase the level of this hormone in your urine, making a pregnancy test think that you are pregnant when you're not (false positive).
So, long story short, if you are concerned about diet pills effecting your chances of getting pregnant, talk to your doctor and see what they think.

Diet pills have the potential to affect anything. I really think you should talk to your doctor about your concerns Maggie, especially if you are trying to get pregnant.
