  • Not getting enough sleep

    My newborn has me up all the time and I'm not getting enough sleep. I know what it's doing to me mentally but how badly is this effecting me psychically? I'm worried that my lack of sleep is going to ruin my weight loss efforts...cause I got a long way to go....:(

    Lack of sleep can interfere with your weight loss efforts. Right now though, I wouldn't stress about that too much. Just focus on getting as much sleep as you can now. Eventually your baby will calm and then you can get back to establishing habits. Be easy on yourself. Being a parent is no easy feat. :)

      I agree. Sleep is very important for weight loss (and your sanity). I know it doesn't seem like it will happen, but your newborn will eventually find their groove and you will get sleep again. Focus on being good to yourself and to your baby. There will be time later to concentrate on weight loss. Hang in there! You're doing great!!

        Thanks guys. Things are getting a little easier. I feel way less crazy now that I'm actually less tired. Thanks for listening to me gripe :D

          Glad to hear it Kyra! It's amazing how sleep can make you feel like a rational human being, isn't it?

            Yes! I'm glad for you, too! Not getting sufficient sleep, no matter the reason is so hard! You just don't feel like you without enough rest. I hope it keeps up. :D
