What is a normal amount of weight to still have on you after you have your baby? Should you still be 10 pounds more than you were before you got pregnant? More? Less? How do you know how much extra to expect?
I think you usually end up with a handful of pounds or two, but nothing more than that, if you’ve been sticking to the weight strategies your doctor has been recommending. But that really is an individual number
My sister had to lose 14 pounds after giving birth. She said that the first few came off pretty quickly without her even having to make all that much of an effort, but the last 5 were the most difficult. Just take it easy and slow and focus on taking good care of yourself and the baby and most of it will come off. It's not really a time when you want to rush stuff because you can risk hurting yourself.
Women are too hard on themselves after they've given birth. You'v ejust gone through a lot of crazy stuff in yoru bodies. You've really got to remember that it takes time for the body to change especially after it has just gone through something new that it has never experienced before. Give yourself the chance to actually start your new life with your baby and give yourself a break. Focus on getting things going and getting your life into a routine and just treat yourself as well as you can. You'll have time to focus on weight later.
