    Okay this really isn't a weight loss question, this is more of a COVID-19 new moms question. What are safe ways that I can work on socializing my newborn during the pandemic and how do I focus on not letting the blues get me down. I'm finding it harder and harder to stay positive.

    Yeah it's really hard right now. For the most part I wouldn't worry about it. Things won't stay like this forever. You'll be able to social your baby soon enough. For now, all you can do is give them all the love and attention that you can give and try to stimulate their minds and senses in different ways. Also, remember that babies can sense your emotions. Staying positive is also about taking care of yourself and doing what you can to make sure you're as happy as possible, too. Try not to be too hard on yourself or worry about the short-term. A new normal is coming and you and your baby will adapt.

      I agree. Just do your best to relax, stay positive and do what you can. Your baby is going to be just fine. This isn't going to last forever. :)

        Introduce your newborn to video calling, walks, and to people at a safe social distance.

          Thanks. I appreciate the support. I am feeling a little better now. I just really went through a hard patch there for a while. It really is tough not being able to do something that was just so second nature to us.

            Totally makes sense! So glad you're feeling better again tracy1976! Hopefully you can bubble with your family or a group soon and that extra social and contact will likely keep your spirits up, too. :D

              I have been able to do that and seeing my family has made a difference. It's still obviously not the same, but it's so nice and I am feeling better than I was before. I hope everyone else is still doing well, too.
