I know stretch marks are a natural part of pregnancy, but do you always get them? Is there a way to prevent them or to at least minimize them?

You probably will get them because your skin is going to stretch out as the baby grows and the longer it stays stretched the more stretch marks you'll have. They are very much a natural part of pregnancy and some people are more prone to them than others.
The best way to reduce them is to keep your skin well-moisturized (this includes both applying lotion to the skin as well as drinking lots of water) and don't gain anymore weight than you need to. That said, if they happen, they happen. Try not to get too upset about it. Your baby is so worth it!

You might get them and there is a good chance that you will, but try not to worry about that sort of thing. There isn't much that you can do to prevent them. I mean, you can try to keep your skin hydrated and moisturized, and try not to gain to much weight...but, well, sometimes you just can't prevent some of the unfortunate stuff that comes with pregnancy. As Gina said, just remember that your baby is worth it :)

Probably you will. There's nothing you can really do about it except hopefully minimize them like the others have suggested. There's lot of stuff you might get with pregnancy that people don't typically tell you about and you're probably not going to like most of them, but your having a baby and that's all that really matters!
