    Can anyone give any tips for losing those extra few pounds of flabby area in around the lower abs? I seem to have everywhere else under control. I walk 2 miles every day and I do yoga. But I just can’t seem to get my abs back …will they come back?

    curl ups and various versions of that. Stinks but that's it!

      I find swimming works wonders for my core muscles. Also, try "sucking in" while you're walking so those muscles are activated.

        Focus on anything that burns a lot of calories or that targets the muscles around your middle specifically. Or, ideally, do both. You can alternate what you're doing every day so that it doesn't get too boring. Also, sit up straight in your chair all day. It won't take long to find out you're using a lot of muscle power!

          Concentrate on doing a lot of your daily activities with your core muscles activated. Instead of just standing around, strolling, sitting in a chair, or whatever you happen to need to do, draw in your belly button a little as though it were tied to a string behind you. You don't need to suck in like david hasselhoff on baywatch or anything, but draw it in enough that you're lightly using your ab muscles. When you do this all day long, it makes a very big difference on top of your regular exercises.

            Any workout that is focused on the core muscles is good. I personally like the rowing machine because it gets the core but you can do your arms and legs at the same time.

              If you have your upper abs under control, focus more on the lower ab exercises like leg lifts. If you already have a good routine going with your lower abs, focus on your diet. If your diet is under control, increase your cardio intensity.

                  If you exercise your whole body, then your abs will catch up. Make your body healthy and you'll have whole body results.
