    I've got a tip out there for everyone who hates creating or following a weight loss diary or who struggles to count calories. One of the best ways to drop weight while you're figuring out your diet and calories and all of the rest of it, is to cut out all the extra sugar in your diet. Cut out the pop, the candies, the sweets and all the refined sugars. You will be amazed at how much you'll lose. And for those of you who are going to contribute to this thread by saying its "easier said than done" I hear you, but you need to suck it up. If your health and weight are truly that important to you, you need to stop making excuses. Do right by your body.

    Good advice! My friend actually did this at the start of January, and since then she's dropped 17 pounds! It's amazing the difference just eliminating extra sugar from your diet can make.

      Your right about that one Treehuggertodd. It's not an easy thing to do, but it really makes an amazing difference. You'll find to that, even though it's tough at first to avoid the sugar, cause you'll crave it, after a few weeks and a month, you will crave it less and it will be easier to avoid it.

        This is really a great tip but it's soooooo hard! Ever time I try to cut out sugar from my diet, I always crack and give into my cravings. I just can't do it. How do you guys overcome the cravings???

          Cut out the extra sugar and exercise daily and you'll find yourslef shrinking down even more. It is AMAZING how little bit really can go a long way!

            A lot of it is about willpower, kellykatt. For some people, slowly weaning yourself off sugar makes it easier to cut the bulk of sweets out of your diet. While I personally think that the best way to do it is to go cold turkey, I get that not everyone can do that. Start with small goals (ex. one treat per day) and work to bigger ones (ex. a treat once a week).That said, ultimately it boils down to self-control. You can't let yourself off the hook easy to let yourself give into excuses.

              I know what you mean KellyKatt! Even when I try to do it I always end up failing. It's impossible to eat only the daily recommended amount of sugar! I don't know how people can do it!
