I know that one of the things that you should do when you want to lose weight is to count calories, but how do you do that? I mean what's the best way to do it? I can't see myself looking at the box of every food I eat and adding up the totals throughout the day. That would be really difficult. Also, how do you count calories of foods that don't come with fact sheets, like fresh fruits and veggies?

I really find that the best way to count calories is to use a free online tool or app, which makes the process a lot easier. It's way too hard and tedious to look at the contents of everything you eat and record the calories manually. You might be able to do that for a couple of days, but you'll get tired of that pretty quick. Try a site like spark people. There are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Just search for "free calorie tracker".
