I don't think there is a right or wrong way or the best way to track your weight loss or health management progress. There is only the best way that works for you. So, if you are someone who prefers to do things digitally or someone who prefers to do things on paper. Whatever you're most likely to remain committed to is the best option. That said, I do think it's important to track. Tracking what you do is the only way to see what you are and are not doing to meet your goals. :)

That's really true. I get frustrated at fitbit for that. It's so limiting. Plus, a lot of its measures aren't really based on anything that science says will help. It would be great to be able to add the factors that are important to me, not just some estimated calorie burn that is likely not anywhere near accurate, or the number of flights of stairs that I climb (which goes up by dozens on windy days!!!).

for me, I just use my fitbit and its app and track everything. That way, even when one thing isnt' going as well, I know i'm doing well in another area. Plus, even if Im' frustrated with a category, I can always drink a glass of water and watch that score go up!
