  • Should you keep a weight loss diary when you go on vacation

I'm going to be heading to Europe for a month but I'm still trying to watch what I eat. Will it still be beneficial for me to keep a weight loss diary when I'm on vacation or is this not a good idea?

I wouldn't bother. I mean unless you reallly reallly have to track your foods and your weight, than by all means make a priority of it. That said, you're likely to find it annoying having to record everything. When you're on vacation you should be making a priority out of having fun and enjoy yourself, not tracking everything you eat. That being said, having fun and enjoying yourself does not mean that you have to indulge (or over indulge) every chance you get. Have fun btw!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking! It would be really annoying to track while I'm supposed to be relaxing. I am going to work on making good food choices and watching how much I drink and stuff though. I don't want to over-indulge.

I don't know if you need to keep a diary, but i think if you are actually trying to watch what you eat while you're on vacation, you should donwload one of those fitness apps to keep track of your calories and stuff, that way you make sure you don't blow your limits. It's really easy to accidentally over-indulge without realizing it. I mean, alcohol alone has loads of calories and people (who drink alcohol) tend to drink more of it when they are on holidays.

I agree! A fitness app is perfect to take with you. Even if you don't record what you eat all time, if you can track your steps and other stuff, at least it gives you an idea of how much you've walked and how much your moving and the number of calories you're burning. :)
