I’ve found that tracking what I eat and how much I exercise is helpful but what I’ve found surprisingly handy is that I’ve also made a little note of how I feel each day in terms of energy levels, whether or not I had any digestive discomforts, and all of that stuff. I’ve made a lot of discoveries that way! I get tired after I eat too much bread. I didn’t even know that before! I also found that if I eat red meat, I won’t feel great the next day. This is all good stuff to know on TOP of tracking diet progress.

Wow, that's really thorough. I bet you'll be able to find out if you have food sensitivities and intolerances along the way if you actually keep that up. You'll be able to see if you have low energy levels after eating certain things. You'll also be able to find out what activities have the biggest impact on your weight loss. For example, you'll likely know if you lose more weight by swimming or running.
