  • Has anyone gone through gastric bypass surgery?

I am looking at all my options for losing weight. I am considering gastric bypass surgery, but it's really intimidating - I'm not one for pain. Is there someone who can tell me what to expect from this surgery, eg. recovery time, pain, cost, what life's like now? I don't even know if surgery would be an option for me, but I thought I'd ask here before going to my doctor.

submitting in surgeries have its own risks. i suggest that you try the less invasive methods such as diet pills, exercise, and eating healthy foods.

if you want to know more about gastric bypass surgery, try to talk to your physician about it.

If you are gravely obese and you are having health problems because of your weight, then a gastric bypass surgery may be of help. Just remember that before deciding to go with the procedure, you need to talk to your physician first and understand the risks and consequences involved when you go through this type of surgery.

Also, assess your financial status and capacity to pay, you do not want to leave the hospital with medical debts in tow. If you are only overweight, regular exercise and diet will do. To hasten the process, you can buy diet pills online if you want. Just always remember to think a hundred times first before jumping into any kind of solution, especially the more invasive ones.

Gastric surgery involves few side efefcts and risks that may need to have permanent changes in your lifestyle. So it's better to know what is involved and what lifestyle changes you have to make before undergoing this surgery. And yes budget is also the biggest concern to think about.

I saw a short documentary about gastric surgery on television. It seems to be the last resort (I consider going under the knife as last option) for losing weight. Why don't you consult a doctor (someone with positive feedbacks and can be recommended by a friend) and ask him all your apprehensions and questions.

GBS is not an easy fix. I know a few people who have had it done and one thing they emphasize to me is that ... "you still have to diet" afterwards. I don't indorse pills but why don't you look at something like one of the cookie diets? I was successful with the R&D Diet Cookie. It's amazing how well they elliminate hunger and cravings and really, that is what you need in order to be able to lower you calorie intake.
              Good Luck!
