  • Not everyone loses the weight after surgery

I always thought that if you had bariartric surgery, then you're pretty much guaranteed to lose a huge amount of weight. Nope! A lot of people go through it and don't. Another reason this should be a LAST resort!

Here's the article I read: Factors associated with poor weight loss after surgery revealed - TeleManagement

That's just disturbing. I can't imagine going through the nightmare of that surgery and all of the liquid dieting and limited diets that follow it - with all of the risks, no doubt - and then not really lose weight! that's horrible

This makes me so sad to hear! I can't imagine how upset I'd be after going through all of that and putting my hopes into it and having it fail.

I've been thinking about this some more and I know that it is really tragic when I think about how people who are undergoing this drastic surgery are not losing weight but now I'm wondering if its' a matter of what they put into it.

Do you think that there are a lot of people out there who think that the surgery will just solve all of their weight loss problems on its own but they can just keep up all of the habits that got them obese in the first place?

Any weight loss program - including surgery - only gives you what you put into it. This is an improtant lesson.
