I am new to this site. I would like to keep up with the "general chatter" of weight loss. I lost 40 lbs a little over a year ago using the R&D Cookie Diet. I found it straight forward and simple. I viewed it as a 2 month project that I completed and now I concentrate on eating healthy and getting exercise. Because of my success I now recommend the R&D Cookie Diet to my patients and I have had favorable results with most of them. ( I am a family counselor and I specialize in weight-loss). I promote rapid weight loss since it keeps you motivated to lose the weight once and for all and stop the cycle of weight loss and regain that is the real culprit to you health. The cookie relieves the stress and difficulty hunger and cravings usually contribute while dieting. I have found that my patients gain control of their eating while on the R&D Diet Cookie and afterwards. This control promotes improved quality of life.

I really don't know how eating cookies would help me "gain control" of my eating, during or afterwards. I have seen these types of diets before and, no offense, but I don't think they work very well for most of us. I say skip the cookies and just start learning how to eat healthier and get more exercise.
You mention that you promote rapid weight loss to your patients because it helps to keep them motivated. Isn't that the opposite of what most weight loss experts tell you? Isn't rapid weight loss hard to maintain and often followed with weight gain? I'm just not sure what you're trying to sell us on here.

I have a lot of questions. First, what is a R&D Cookie Diet? Is it a meal plan that basically involves the use of cookies? Because I really cannot see myself eating cookies alone for two whole months. Of course, you have to post the ingredients of the cookie so we will know if the cookie itself is complete with all the essential nutrients that we need. I have known of a diet plan that involves drinking shakes and people do lose weight. It's like they put all the nutrients our body needs in that shake and we should just drink it each meal time instead of eating a full meal. But you can only drink up to 2 glasses of shakes per day that means that you must eat a full meal once a day.With these cookies, I do not know the ingredients are so I can never tell if its healthy or not.
Second question, how can you say that you gain control over your hunger and appetite using this R&D Cookie Diet? Does the cookie has appetite suppressants in it too?
Your statement is kinda vague, please elaborate more on this diet plan so that we can understand more about this. thank you.

Here's another way to look at it... a cookie diet is a series of "mini meals" that you eat throughout the day that keep you full and satisfy you then you eat a regular meal at dinner. The overall effect is a large decrease in the number of calories you normally eat.

I guess for the sake of 'full disclosure' I should admit that I lost my weight using the cookies and a low carb diet (Atkins). I find it most effective in that combination. Once lost, I did not remain on low carb. I've kept the weight off by using the cookies occasionally to keep the weight from creeping back on. However, I know many people who did not choose low carb but instead had great success using the cookies to simply stay on a low calorie diet. Either way works well as far as I can tell.
