  • Diets to be avoided

    What diets are the ones that you think that people would be smart enough to avoid and why? I'm trying to steer clear of bad diets and I've already found a couple that I wouldn't want to try including the Lemonade Diet and the Cabbage Soup diet.

    What are other diets should we avoid?

    The paleo diet, The baby food diet, and any diet that tells you that you should consume 1,200 calories or less per day.

      Thanks. I'll add those to my list Freddyboy. Anyone else have any suggestions? Freddyboy can't be the only one who has opinion on this lol!

        lemonade diet, cabbage soup diet, cookie diet, any diet created by a celebrity...

          A vegan diet, unless you're serious about actually following the diet in a legitimate and healthy way.

            Couldn't agree more Cujo1992. I'm really tired of everyone jumping on the Vegan-train, when they have absolutely no idea what it means to be Vegan. It's not just a diet for weight loss or a diet to save animals. It's an actual way of life and there's sooooooo much more to it than just not eating dairy, meat or fish.

                Dukan diet must be avoided 100%

                    The Dukan diet is another phase diet that is about upping protein and lowering fat and carbs. it's got too many rules and restrictions that don't make it ideal to follow for long term. You'll definitely lose weight if you follow it to the letter, it's just that it's really not something you're likely to commit to and there's not scientific proof that it's amazing for healthy and long-term weight loss. Any diet that tells you to limit too much of something isn't practical in my books.
