  • What's the best vegetarian diet?

I’m not a vegetarian. I personally think it’s just a lifestyle deliberate to make it harder for your friends and family and harder to get a good solid nutritious diet. But that’s just me. My sister, on the other hand, thinks that eating like a vegetarian who still eats fish and chicken and eggs is a good idea. Don’t get me started.

So what’s the best diet for someone with a pain in the a$$ form of vegetarianism who wants to lose weight?

I don't really know that it is a matter of actually choosing the best vegetarian diet. If you eat a very nutritious, portion controlled all vegetarian diet, then you will automatically start to lose weight at a pretty good rate. You just have to make sure to replace things like iron and healthy fats in other ways or you'll end up finding yourself with health problems like anemia.

I'd probably say that the eco atkins is a really good one. It doesn't use any meat products at all.

You could probably do just about any diet that you want and then just replace the proteins with vegetarian friendly ones. I don't know if there are really any big weight loss diets that insist that you have meat. In fact, most of them suggest that you cut back.

You can respect nearly any diet within vegetarian rules. Of course, there are some programs like the Paleolithic diet that actually have meat as a central component of what is eaten and so that probably couldn't be converted into a vegetarian friendly alternative.

But at the same time there are likely ways around just about any diet's meal plans that can make them vegetarian friendly. Just remember to pay attention to your calorie count and nutrients when you substitute. Sometimes meat is there for a reason so you need to pay close attention to what that reason is.
