    I was wondering about what the healthiest choice of salad and salad dressing actually is. I mean the common ones that you can find at middle of the road restaurants. I hear so much that certain kinds of lettuce aren’t actually nutritious and that a lot of salad dressings are enough to bring the fat levels up to the same as a cheeseburger.

    So what is the right choice?

    I make my own balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Then I use it sparingly.

      You might try eating your salads without any dressing at all. Try making them very interesting salads with lots of different color veggies and even some low fat cheese shredded overtop. That will help to make it more flavorful. I try not to make it a giant bowl of leaves with a couple of toppings. I make my salads a vegetable bonanza haha. It's about half leaves, and the rest is all bell peppers, carrots, celery, cucumber, cheese, chopped almonds, and lots of other goodies.
