    that sounds interesting.

I personally prefer low carb diet for weight loss.Try to include food items which are naturally processed like meats,Fish & Sea foods. These are natural rich source of low carbohydrates. Also salad consists of lettuce, tomato, beetroot, cucumber and some capsicum.

Seeing your doctor before making the move to diet is always recommended.Start your diet program only after doctor's advice and suggestions.

    Good Luck.........

personalized nutrition sounds good to me, i've been doing it since time immemorial. I think that you don't have to go to a doctor if you decide to make your own diet regimen but if you have diseases like high in BP, heart problems, or any disorders related to digestion and metabolism, you definitely should see your doctor and dietitian first.

        Getting discouraged, help

On June 1st 2010 I weighted 345 lbs. My doctor placed me on a 1000 calorie diet. I chose not to eat any junk food or drink anything other then water. I have worked hard and will continue no matter what. Just in a very low state right now. I have lost almost 100lbs, good? I thought so. However, for the past week I have not lost a oz in fact I gained about 8 oz. Anyway, to make it worse my husband assures me that all that weight was fluid and now I will have to work on the fat. Grrr. If that aint enough to depress me. How much of my weight was water? How much was muscle mass? How much fat? Where should I be in my weight loss? Its been almost 5 months since I started trying to lose. I feel so much better just don't want to stop. How long will this take? I still need to lose over 100lbs. What can I do different. I also try to drink 3 liters of water a day. And walk for 15 - 30 min a day. Help?

I am an avid fan of south beach diet because they offer a variety of meals for their clients so that we won't easily get bored with the plan. I can say that staying with the diet plan for so long has prompted me to start another but I'm so comfortable with the recipes that I do not really want to venture out.

This personalized nutrition sounds good but how do you prepare your meal? Does the site has counselors that can help you make your own personalized meal plan? I'm really excited to hear about this because maybe it about time to make my own diet meal. Please let me know more about this personalized nutrition. I do want to try something new aside from my customary south beach diet.

Does personalized nutrition means that you use your own recipe? Or do you only consult with dietitians and counselors about your preferred ingredients and they will make a recipe for you? Because its kinda confusing me a bit.

I don't have a nutritionist and I can't afford diet plans. I watch what I eat and make my own recipes (for the most part). Most recipes now tell you how many calories per serving. Watch the serving size and weigh it to make sure it is accurate. I try to make food with the stuff that is in the negative calorie list. That way it helps me burn. I am still losing just at a lot slower rate. I won't give up. I am tiered of being fat. I have a lot of loose skin. Any ideas of loosing this as I go?

I have also tried personalized nutrition before but i got tired of it because counting calories makes it so frustrating on my part. Now, I opt to eat healthily and at a regular interval. I also try to avoid snack and coffee breaks because it will only make me eat junks. I think that the best way to lose weight is not to think about food often. you have to eat until you feel full. However, feeling satiated should never be unhealthy. eat more vegetables and fruits and you will find out how it can make you feel less hungry for a longer period of time. Its also very healthy for everyone!

I thrive well in Personalized Diet. The rest of the made-to-follow diets did not just work for me. Mainly because I was too stiff in following it it made me suffer. I consume protein, carbohydrates and just enough fats to make me happy (my knees go weak with vanilla ice cream). It was tough to maintain a happy, healthy, and balanced diet but in order to make a routine, you have to go through with it for 30 days.

Are you just dieting (1,000-calorie diet)? Or you also exercise? I think there's a point in which our body stops responding to the routine. That' why we have to be active, not just starving ourselves.
