  • Cleanse to start a diet

    I've heard that cleanses and weekend detox diets are a great way to jump start weight loss, but my friend says they're not healthy.

    Has anyone tried this with success?

      I agree with this. I don't think that a cleanse is really necessary for anybody unless the doctor recommends it. If you're a healthy individual who goes to the bathroom on a regular basis, your body is already cleaning out all of its toxins.

      Giving yourself the runs on purpose is just hard on your body and risks dehydration and a bunch of other problems. At least talk to your doctor before just starting this yourself.
