  • Need advice for my new supplement: Vegatot Hornygoat Weed

I'm 38, and I just can't seem to get it on my own here, I use pre workouts, I can go for awhile, boxing, cardio and things like that the results are just not there. I want to lose fat AND build muscle. So I've bought this product from Vegatot brand after seeing review on Tiktok, but i'm still not using it. I've tried some suppz before but nothing is working, I need to step to the other stuff but I have soooo many questions. Safety? Side affects? and how common they are? Also how to counter them anything come in pill form if at all possible? (not a huge fan of needles lol) what do I need to do WHILE taking whatever is suggested? Thanks in advance

Honestly, I think it's best if you try to return these. TikTok is a notorious platform for pumping supplements that are dangerous or that don't work. I hope you can return them or just take the hit and throw them out. They're not necessarily safe. Horny Goat Weed causes severe breathing problems in some people (https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/in...orny-goat-weed). There is also no quality evidence from research to show that it will help you to either lose fat or build muscle. It's just the latest hyped ingredient. There used to be hoodia, then raspberry ketone, then a bunch of others, now horny goat weed. I hope you can return it can get your money back. I wouldn't personally take a single one of those. Sorry bro.

Sadly, I agree. If you can return this product, I would. Horny goat weed is really not a weight loss product and it's not a muscle building product. People use it to reduce the risk of osteoporosis, to help with PMS or to help with erectile dysfunction. There isn't much good research into this ingredient. This means that even if it is beneficial for weight loss or muscle building (and I genuinely doubt it),there is no way for anyone to know what the dosage would be. This means the company that made the product you bought is flat-out guessing.
There are side effects associated with using this ingredient like racing heart, breathing problems and sweating https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/art...3#side-effects
There is also a report of a man developing heart arrhythmia from using a supplement of this ingredient https://www.rxlist.com/horny_goat_weed/supplements.htm
Talk to your doctor if you'd like. In fact, that's a good idea if you're looking for a supplement, particularly as it seems that you are looking for quality information before you start using something - which is smart. I strongly believe that your doctor will recommend that you discard the product you bought and choose something else instead. Your doctor will likely be able to suggest a number of good options for you, though. Keep going!

Ok so whether Horny Goat Weed is good or not is one thing...what you actually need to help you, Maverick758 , is something else. You've said you want to lose fat and build muscle but you've been unsuccessful. What have your biggest challenges been? What is standing in your way of success? Is it that you're struggling to stick to changes in your diet? Are you losing energy before you can get to your best workout potential? Are you struggling with the motivation to do the workouts you need for building muscle?
Keep in mind that regardless of the supplement - even the best ones - they don't make the results happen. Your efforts do. The supplements support the efforts you're making. So first, identify what isn't working, very specifically. Then, make sure your diet, workout, etc, are properly aligned with overcoming that challenge. Then, choose supplements that are known for supporting you in the way that you're struggling the most. Don't believe claims that a supplement will bring you results. Supplements support you and help YOU get the results with the things you're doing.
Do you know what isn't working right in your current strategy aside from not getting the outcomes you want? Do you know the why?

For those wondering what horny goat weed is

Horny goat weed, also known as epimedium, is a plant that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. It is believed to have various health benefits, including as an aphrodisiac and for the treatment of certain conditions.

Horny goat weed contains a compound called icariin, which is thought to be responsible for its potential health benefits. Icariin is a type of flavonoid that is believed to increase blood flow and stimulate the production of nitric oxide, which can help to relax and dilate blood vessels.

Some of the potential health benefits of horny goat weed include:
          1. Improved sexual function: Horny goat weed has been traditionally used as an aphrodisiac and to improve sexual function in men and women. It may help to increase libido and improve erectile dysfunction by increasing blood flow to the genital area.
          2. Osteoporosis prevention: Some studies have suggested that icariin may help to prevent bone loss and reduce the risk of osteoporosis, particularly in postmenopausal women.
          3. Anti-inflammatory effects: Icariin may have anti-inflammatory effects, which may be beneficial for reducing inflammation and pain associated with certain conditions, such as arthritis.
          4. Neuroprotective effects: Some research has suggested that icariin may have neuroprotective effects and could potentially be useful for the treatment of certain neurological conditions.
It's important to note that more research is needed to fully understand the potential health benefits of horny goat weed, and it may not be suitable for everyone. Side effects may include dizziness, dry mouth, and nausea, and it may interact with certain medications. It's always a good idea to talk to a healthcare professional before taking any new supplements or herbs.
