That's how I understand it.
Here's what the FDA site says:
Didrex is discontinued https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=012427
Bontril is discontinued https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=088021
Ionamin is discontinued (though I don't think it ever applied to come to the US in the first place) https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=011613
Looks like the same thing for tenuate https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scrip...&ApplNo=011722
Maybe I'm not understanding what the website is saying? I'm not a medical expert or anything. This was just the result of a fast google search.

Really? Just the brand names or the actual generics too? Did the FDA really take down all those medications or just some of the companies that make them? This should be clearer and easier to learn. Is there a database somewhere to look stuff like this up?

I think it's just those brand names. I'm pretty sure the generic form of the drugs is still around. Ionamin definitely, since thats phentermine, which is Adipex. The rest are phendimetrazine. There must be active brands for that or you can at least get the generic.
