I was wondering if you could take vitamin and mineral supplements the same time that you are taking a diet supplement for weight loss. Would they conflict or would this not be safe?

They can, depending on what vitamins you are taking and what supplements you are taking for weight loss. Honestly, the best thing to do if you are not sure is to as a medical professional. You don't want to make the mistake of screwing around with that sort of thing.

I take other supplements like calcium, omega 3 and vitamin D while taking OTC pills for weight loss and I've never had a problem. That doesn't mean that you should just combine any supplements though, like I'd be leery about taking a one-a-day supplement with other things because you don't want to overdose on certain substances. When in doubt, think about the supplements you want to take and bring this up with your doctor. They should help you find the right formula that will be safe for you.

I think you'll be fine, as long as you stay away from a multi-vitamin and make sure that the supplements you take don't conflict with other supplements you're taking. Of course, if you're not sure, talk to you doctor. It's the safest thing to do.
