  • What is theobromine?

I’m trying to figure out what theobromine is. I’ve seen in as an ingredient in a diet pill that I’m thinking about using but I’ve never seen it before. Is it something that I actually want to have in a diet pill? The only thing I can find out about it is that it seems to come from the same plant as chocolate. That doesn’t sound right. Chocolate for weight loss?

I am pretty sure that this is something that is extracted from a lot of kinds of plant like cacao, tea, and some others. It is a type of mild stimulant that helps the body to burn fat faster and to have a faster metabolism.

It is sort of a stimulant but it is a lot milder than caffeine

Do you actually benefit from this in any way by actually eating chocolate (maybe dark chocolate?) or by drinking different kinds of tea? Or is this something that you get from a part of the plant that isn't used in the making of those foods?

That's true but I just finished reading that theobromine when used on its own as a diet pill ingredient really doesn’t do an overwhelming amount. The key to it is that it is a good ingredient but that it works a lot better when you pair it with caffeine. It doesn’t need to be a strong caffeiene, it’s just that the two ingredients really work well together and balance each other out somehow.
