Anyone else heard of the Noom Diet? What is it? I'm looking for a good diet for weight loss that isn't too extreme but that also has a bit more direction than following The Mediterranean, for example. Thoughts? Opinions?

What is the noom diet?

It's a personalized weight loss program that is offered through an app with the same name. It's kinda like the traffic light diet and highlights foods in "green" that are lower in calories and good for you and "red" foods that are higher in calories and that should be limited. Via the app you can also track your dieting and exercise progress, and stuff like that. It doesn't look like a bad diet, but doesn't look like anything revolutionary, either.

So then you just download this app and follow its instructions? Is that all the Noom Diet is?

I think so. That said, the one thing I wasn't wild about when researching this diet is that it glues you to your phone. I'm all for tracking and staying on top of my health and everything, but I don't want to be consulting my phone every five seconds.

That said, thanks for all the info so far guys. Based on what you've all said, it seems to sound like a pretty decent diet and a rip off of the stop-light/traffic light diet LOL. Is it free?
