I'm curious about something. I know that cleanses aren't the best for the body and they're too low-cal, but what if you had a diet of nothing but soups and smoothies. So you know, you could add all the fiber and stuff you need in the smoothie and get your nutrients and calories that way, but you don't actually have to prepare or eat meals. Couldn't that still be healthy and satisfying and still help you control your calories?

I see what you're getting at, but honestly, I think you're supposed to actually chew food at some point. I think it's good for your teeth, jaw and your overall digestion because you secrete more saliva which is important for the whole process. Also, I think chewing leads to great consumption satisfaction. I mean, if you want to have a smoothie breakfast and lunch that's up to you, but maybe have an actual traditional meal for dinner. Point is, make at least one meal one where you are required to chew your food.

Your mouth is actually meant to do more than just breath, form speech and swallow. Your teeth have a job to do and if you don't use them...well, bad things can start to happen. I agree with brightstar While you might not be interested in eating every meal normally, you should probably eat at least one of them not through a straw.
