Is this an actual diet plan or just something that someone created and put in a magazine? I guess what I'm asking is, is there any science to backup this diet plan or is it literally something that was just printed by a magazine?

I think this is the diet from Fitness Magazine, right? I don't know if it's backed by science but it seems pretty decent enough. I mean it doesn't seem to be limiting in terms of food and it focuses on making sure you have 1500 calories, plus an additional 100 calories if you exercise. I'm actually surprised that this diet is still around. I think it was released several years back.

This is a pretty old diet, isn't it? I mean, its still online so you can follow it. That said, I wouldn't worry about the science so much. Just have a look at the plan, see if it's something that can work for you and give it a try or don't. There's plenty of other weight loss plans out there, after all.
