  • What's your motivation?

    I'm curious about what motivates you to lose weight? Is it that you want to look good? Is it that you want to fit in a smaller size? Are you looking for a certain number on the scale? Is it because you want to look good for a special event or vacation? Do you simply want to be healthier?

    For me, I find that working toward a smaller dress size is what really drives me forward to lose weight. I find I work better with a goal. I kind-of wish that it was wanting to be healthier that would push me and not my vanity, but I guess whatever does motivate you is what counts. That's the whole point to my little point here. If you find out what motivates you, you can use this to your advantage to reach your weight loss goals.

    Please share your thoughts and opinions!

    My health is what motivates me. I don't want to ever say that I can't do something because of poor health that I caused myself. My health is also important to my family. I want to live a long life and see my children grow up. I'm not doing anyone any favors if I just make poor lifestyle choices and let myself get fat.

      I have to say that it's my health that motivates me, too. I care about what I put in my body and I've found that in many ways the saying "you are what you what you eat" rings true. Finding the right balance fro my body has been key in helping me maintain my motivation. The healthier I am the better I feel.

        Myself always want to lose fat anyways. But I love food in different kinds. So it's really hard to lose fat for me. However, I decided to control diet and work hard for fat loss.

          I hear ya GarciaM. Loving food is also my problem. It makes it hard to find motivation to diet when it means giving up lots of things you enjoy. That said, what motivates me is definitely my health. I'd far rather give up something I shouldn't eat if that means I avoid high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack and other medical problems I don't want!

            Wow! It's so great that you guys want to lose weight for your health! I wish that was enough to drive me. I'm just glad that my vanity propels me forward. At least my health benefits from that haha!
