  • How much should I make my weight loss goal by July

I want to look my best on July 1. I have a thing I'm attending. I'm definitely overweight. Probably should lose 30 pounds to get to my goal. How much of that can I lose by July 1 from now in early April?

1-2 pounds per week, right? So you could clear 10 pounds by that point if you really apply yourself. Even if you get less, if you're working out all that time, you'll look fitter, too. That counts when it comes to appearance.

Probably around 8-10 pounds if you've already started and you REALLY stick to it.

When setting a weight loss goal, it's important to consider your individual circumstances and consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian for personalized advice. However, I can provide some general guidance.

A safe and sustainable rate of weight loss is typically 1-2 pounds (0.5-1 kg) per week. Therefore, the amount of weight you can aim to lose by July depends on the number of weeks between now and your target date.

For example, if there are 20 weeks until July, a realistic weight loss goal would be 20-40 pounds (9-18 kg) within that time frame. However, it's important to keep in mind that weight loss can vary from person to person due to factors such as metabolism, starting weight, body composition, and individual differences.
